Bob Starr - Seed Manager/Sales

 

Bob is one of those folks you warm up to the minute you meet him. Bob was born and raised in Eckert, Colorado. His working career started early in life on the family 250 acre orchard. Exposed to a “hands on” life of agricultural learning and experiences he quickly grasped how to make a family owned business successful and profitable. In 1991, Bob joined Grand Mesa Discount where he commenced selling agricultural chemicals on the Western Slope. Since 1995 Bob has managed his own cow calf operation giving him a clear understanding of what a rancher is looking for and needs in raising forage crops. Over the years, Bob has evolved into Cropworx’s seed expert. Through voracious reading, picking the brains of manufacturers and just plain old on the job experience, Bob is Western Colorado’s leading expert on corn and forage varieties. A friend to most of the farmers in a 5 county area, Bob can be your “source” at Cropworx for questions and advice. Bob has been a volunteer fireman for 23 years with the Cedaredge Volunteer Fire Department where he is currently the Chief.  Bob and his wife Cimmy were married in 1988, have two young adult children, and live alongside the Gunnison River.
