Dan Kroll - Orchard Fieldman/Sales

 

Dan was born and raised in Windsor Locks Connecticut. At age 13, Dan began working around large equestrian facilities focused on raising thoroughbred horses. Dan was involved in all aspects of managing a large horse facility, from training and therapy to grounds and pasture maintenance. A move to Phoenix in 2003 brought about a complete career change when he went to work for the Maricopa County Sherriff’s office working as a detention officer. In 2005 Dan broke out of the jail business to become a police officer with the Gilbert police department. Dan worked on the night patrol DUI squad, drug taskforce, gang task force and day-time traffic motorcycle squad where he won many achievement awards from the Department. Dan’s brother John is married to Larry’s daughter and after meeting Larry, they hit it off immediately. Looking for a small-town family environment, Dan again decided to change careers in 2010. Dan moved to Cedaredge and joined the Cropworx team and started as a warehouse crewman and orchard hand.  From there, Dan spent years working and apprenticing under Larry at Traubel Family Orchards learning the fruit growing business from the ground up.  Since then Dan has advanced to a salesman position in the Orchard Division here at Cropworx.  Give him a call with any questions about your orchard or trees!
