John Kroll - General Manager

 

Like his brother Dan, John was also born and raised in Connecticut. While growing up, John would hang around the horse farms with Dan, and work at tobacco and corn outfits all throughout Connecticut. After high school, John attended Western New England College in Massachusetts, in hopes to pursue a career in public service. That dream led him to Phoenix, AZ where he got a job with the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office working for Sheriff Joe Arpaio.  While in Phoenix, John met and married the farmer's daughter (Larry’s).  In 2009, he joined the United States Coast Guard and spent 5 years between northern and southern Virginia.  While in the Coast Guard, he served in the Presidential Honor Guard in Washington DC, and in USCG Maritime Intelligence.  After his Coast Guard service was complete, John joined the team at  Cropworx and attended business school on nights and weekends, earning his Bachelor's Degree in 2020.  Having served as Office Manager at the family business for about 8 years, John learned many of the ins and outs of the company and industry and eventually took over the role of General Manager when Larry decided to retire.  When you stop in at Cropworx, you will most likely still see John filling orders, answering phones, talking with customers, and any other day to day tasks that come up at the office.
